Since I first began as a yoga therapist in 2000, there have been numerous advances in several sciences that have been paramount in creating an argument for yoga as a preventive for multiple conditions.  In addition, much has been discovered about its potential to reverse many of these.  All of this stems from the reality that the majority of medical conditions for which people are prescribed medications today are a byproduct of stress and the chemical reactions our bodies go through as a result of chronic exposure.

We know that stress causes a slew of chemical reactions in the body that increase inflammation-the number one reason for illness in the body. Doesn’t it make sense that by directing our thoughts in ways that improve our outlook, thereby lowering stress and its chemical reactions, that we can be healthier and happier?

  • Yoga therapy has been proven to adjust GABA (mood elevating hormone) naturally and always within levels that meet the needs of the host, without the need for supplements?

My Mission:

To share the teachings from the ancient traditions of yoga, integrated with simple life style changes that support and encourage each individual’s desire for a peaceful and purposeful life and everyone’s right to live a life of transformation regardless of life conditions or circumstances.

To create a safe space for inner exploration whereby each individual, with guidance, can create their own personalized yoga practice. A practice that, when expressed in service to Self, may include asanas (postures), pranayama (breath), mantras (chanting), mudras (hand/finger postures), drishti (focus), and/or various meditation processes combined with everyday life skills such as forgiveness, reframing of issues, affirmations, and self-care practices. Even everyday things you may already be doing, that when simply done with mindfulness, can determine a satisfying yoga practice you will actually do because you had a role in what it will look and feel like… co-creating a practice that can enhance your life experiences through increased personal awareness.

Take the first step towards supporting yourself and discover how easy it can be to feel better through the transformative properties of Yoga and Meditation, while uncovering the value of adapting simple Life Skills.
